Just Another Basement Finish…

I hate to sound like that, I just can’t keep coming up with creative titles 🙂

I truly do love finishing basements. It’s crazy to me to think this house was built in 1991 with 2,239 sq. ft. upstairs (main + upper). We finished the basement 1,099 sq ft. increasing their usable area by 50%,while adding a full bath, living area, exercise room and bedroom. In this day and age when median home prices in Fort Collins are $575K and all this space has been looking like a cobweb covered dungeon for 32 years. What’s not to love??

Basement Finish – Completed

I love finishing basements.  It’s a great value for the homeowner when they convert 1/3 of their homes square footage from dusty, cobweb-covered dankness into great functional spaces.

If you’re having a hard time telling where the before/after pictures came from, then I  achieved my goal!

Basement Finish – Rough-in’s

I typically try to post only glamour shots to my website, when everything’s painted, tiled and polished up nice. Nobody wants to be reminded of all the actual “construction” that goes into a remodeling project, just the Pinterest pin-up page. But there’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes, we put a TON of effort into planning so when all the “guts” get buried the infrastructure is in place for a great finished product. Just passed all our rough-in inspections for a current basement finish, so now we get to concentrate on all the pretty stuff!
